Crazy True Story:
A
man lived in South Africa for many years. He had a good job there with,
USIS, the United States Information Service. Then he came to Italy,
to Rome.
In
South Africa he had a parrot. You can say that it was his best
friend. No family, parrot is his family. Both talked to each other
every day. Then he got a new job in Rome. H arrived in Rome with
the parrot and the customs officer took the parrot. The officer said
“This parrot has to stay in quarantine for three months.”
He
was very unhappy. arrived in a new country and started a new home without
his companion parrot. At last, the three months were over and he went to
collect his parrot. The man was nervous and hoping the parrot was not
sick or dead. He reached the customs office and enquired about the
parrot. The officer who took the parrot was avoiding. The man started shouting,
is my parrot alright, is it alive, is it healthy? Why are you avoiding me and
not answering, tell me anything wrong?
Sir,
your parrot is healthy. Just relax, the man again asked ‘Then why don’t you
look at me in the eye? What is wrong with my parrot?’
The
officer replied Sir, your parrot…well see, we don’t have a separate section for
parrots, not even any cages, so we put your parrot has been living in
Kennel...with...dogs. ‘And?’ Sir, it… no longer talks… but barks
like a dog.’
‘All
these parrots are caged are not but definitely
barking?’
